Lancashire cruise home against Northants in the National League

Andrew Symonds gave another brilliant all round performance, clubbing 80 off 86 balls and then taking 1 for 25 from his nine overs. Symonds added 87 with Mark Chilton to stabilise Lancashire after they slumped to 52 for 3. Dominic Cork provided a late boost with 40 at a run-a-ball. Jimmy Anderson’s impressive form continued with three of Northants’s top order, to leave them struggling on 35 for 4. They never recovered and Andrew Crook’s three wickets completed the formalities.
